About us
Hitch is an assortment of circular tools — designed to facilitate the (re)connection of (recovered) sheet materials.
Together with a group of social creators, designers, thinkers and researchers, through playful experimentation, we aim to evolve towards a more modular future.
With grateful support from numerous partners, advisors, knowledge institutions, and grant providers, we are building the future of this circular narrative.

This is our language, our anchor as we grow. A playbook, constantly evolving to act with relevance and transparency. Open to feedback, let your voice be heard.

An award-winning story. Once started as a school project, it has grown into an ambitious organization with big plans for the future. This evolution wouldn't have been possible without valuable awards and grateful budgets to experiment in the early stages.

Hitch is more than just a handy connector. We continuously explore how our methods can contribute to large-scale recovery of valuable resources and how we can integrate social economy in our processes. With a big thanks to Vlaio & City of Ghent.
“We believe that the world of tomorrow will require all kinds of easily accessible methods to playfully encourage people to make more responsible and sustainable purchases.”
Why, how and who?
The furniture and event sector generates a staggering 11 million tons of waste annually. This is driven by a lack of modularity, flexibility, adaptability, and innovative applications, resulting in limited opportunities for repeated re-use. Instead, valuable raw materials are often treated as disposable waste. Our mission is the transition to a more circular way of (re-)building for the future.
Why do we Hitch?
Hitch-Tools slide over all kinds of (sheet) materials without damaging the (used) materials. It’s a range of simple clamps to (re-)build, (re-)use, adapt, transform, move and grow your modular constructions & temporary structures.
How do we Hitch?
(re-)connecting all kinds of board materials with our Hitch-Tools
Connecting local supply chains, organizations and builders by doing HitchLab experiments and Our Service with our Hitch Family
A story about connections.
Esther Laga is a young and ambitious interior architect who has honed her skills at both KASK School of Arts, LUCA School of Arts and KU Leuven Architecture.

Who is behind Hitch?
Today, Esther continues to examine the status quo in how we generally use objects, spaces and non-places. She aims to offer valuable and accessible modular alternatives for objects and temporary setups using her Hitch-Tools.
She created a team and community that are now:
